We don’t have enough space to talk about all of Paul’s amazing work in radio – we’d genuinely be here all day! He is our very own soul, Motown and Northern Soul aficionado and will get you grooving on Saturday nights!
Born in: the ’60s
Greatest music came from: ’70s
Greatest comedy show: The Trip

Paul faced the Great British Radio Quick Fire Question Round. Get to know him better:
GBR: Are you ready?
PN: As ready as I’ll ever be!
GBR: Tea or coffee?
PN: Tea
GBR: McDonald’s or KFC?
PN: McDonald’s
GBR: Favourite place in the U.K. and why?
PN: I’m going to say Winchester actually. It’s one of the smallest cities in the country and it’s the most desirable place to live.
GBR: Any brothers or sisters?
PN: One of each. Tim and Emma.
GBR: Scone as in cone or scone as in gone?
PN: Scone as in gone
GBR: Jam or cream first?
PN: Cream
GBR: If you could have dinner with any person, living or dead, who would it be?
PN: Kenny Everett! I walked past his studio once when he was on air and they wouldn’t let me meet him, they said he was very shy. Legendary DJ, everybody looks up to him, a great story teller and he loved technology. With all those sound and video FX that he had, he would love today’s technology.
GBR: Red or white wine?
PN: Hmm, it depends what I’m eating but I’ll go white. But if it was a steak then it would have to be a Malbec!
GBR: Favourite place in the world?
PN: Thailand, great food, gorgeous weather and amazing beaches.
GBR: Prince or Michael Jackson?
PN: Michael Jackson, he’s more soulful.
GBR: Only Fools or Fawlty Towers?
PN: Fawlty Towers
GBR: Corrie or EastEnders?
PN: Corrie
GBR: Biden or Trump?
PN: Trump – anything to prolong Mike Osman’s career!
GBR: First ever job?
PN: Tarmacking cul-de-sacs – dead-end job it was…! Seriously though, I was fixing TV sets. And once you’ve accidentally put your hand on a 20,000 volt line out transformer, you don’t do it again.
GBR: Zippy or George?
PN: Is Jane not an option? Alright, let’s go for Zippy.
GBR: Ant or Dec
PN: Dec
GBR: Summer or winter?
PN: Definitely summer
GBR: Fish and chips or a curry?
PN: Oh a Jalfrezi curry!
GBR: Dog or a cat?
PN: Cat
GBR: Sweet or savoury?
PN: Sweet
GBR: Steak or lobster?
PN: Steak!
GBR: Rolling Stones or The Beatles?
PN: Beatles.
GBR: Motown, Soul or Northern Soul?
PN: Soul
GBR: Favourite song ever and why?
PN: Let’s go with my absolute favourite dance floor classic – “Agadoo!!”! Okay okay, Candi Staton, “Young Hearts Run Free”. It’s such a great song, great instruments, great backing and when I was 14 when it came out in the Summer of ’76, life was chaotic for me. But I never ever get tired of hearing this song because it got me through and it’s just radio feel-good. It’s brilliant!
